Urtzi Balantzategi (Spain)
This particular model is called ‘Balea’ which is one of my personal models based on one of my other instruments, ‘Aselli’. It is the biggest instrument among all my models. It’s measures are:-Body length: 119,5cm
-String length: 106,5cm to 108cm
-Upper bout: 50cm
-Centre bout: 37cm
-Lower bout: 76,5cm
About the varnish of the bass, it’s completely antiqued with spirit base varnish.
The top of the instrument is made of European spruce. Back, ribs and scroll (which is neckcrafted in a maple neck) are made of Cremonese poplar.
